Belle and Sebastian Announce New Double Live Album ‘What to Look For in Summer’

Belle and Sebastian have announced a new double live album titled What to Look for in Summer. It comes out December 11 via Matador. The 2xLP features selections from the band’s 2019 world tour, including last summer’s ‘Boaty Weekender’ cruise. The band have also shared two videos: ‘The Boy With the Arab Strap’ and ‘My Wandering Days Are Over’. Check them out below, along with the the album’s artwork.

In a statement, guitarist and singer Stevie Jackson said the album was “something to focus on” during the COVID-19 pandemic. “That was very, very nice.”

Singer and violinist Sarah Martin added, “It was quite nice to be doing that when we couldn’t even see each other.”

Murdoch also commented on the album’s title. “For a while, the working title of the record was Live and Meticulous,” he said. “The record company really wanted it to be called Live and Meticulous. But I don’t like derivative things really.”
