Phoebe Bridgers Shares Cover of Tom Waits’ ‘Day After Tomorrow’

Phoebe Bridgers has shared a cover of Tom Waits’ 2004 track ‘Day After Tomorrow’ as a Christmas charity single. The song was produced by Bridgers, Tony Berg, and Ethan Gruska. It features musical contributions from Harrison Whitford, Marshall Vore, Rob Moose, and Will Maclellan, as well as a choir including Z Berg, Kaitlyn Dever, Mady Dever Gruska, Emily Kohavi, Blake Mills, Marcus Mumford, Annie Stela, and Whitford. Give it a listen below.

All proceeds from the sale of the single will benefit The International Institute of Los Angeles – The Local Integration & Family Empowerment Division, which provides refugees, immigrants, and survivors of human trafficking with the skills, abilities, and resources they need to attain economic self-sufficiency and start their new lives in Southern California.

Bridgers’s take on ‘Day After Tomorrow’ follows her previously released covers of ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’, Merle Haggard’s ‘If We Make It Through December’, Simon & Garfunkel ‘7 O’Clock News/Silent Night’ with Fiona Apple and The National’s Matt Berninger, and McCarthy Trenching’s ‘Christmas Song’ with Jackson Browne.
