‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ From ‘Encanto’ Hits No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100

‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’, the smash hit from Disney’s Encanto, has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming only the second No. 1 ever from a Disney animated film. The song – performed by Carolina Gaitán, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz and the Encanto cast – also marks the first No. 1 for the song’s sole writer, Lin-Manuel Miranda, who co-produced it with Mike Elizondo.

The last time a Disney song made it to No. 1 was in 1993, when Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle’s Aladdin theme ‘A Whole New World’ dethroned Whitney Houston’s record-breaking ‘I Will Always Love You’. ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ succeeds Adele’s ‘Easy on Me’, which debuted at No. 1 back in October and has held the top spot for 10 non-consecutive weeks.
