Beach House’s ‘Once Twice Melody’ Is the Best-Selling Album in America

Beach House’s new double album Once Twice Melody is No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart this week, with 20,300 copies sold, Billboard reports. Of those sales, 18,200 were physical formats, including 14,500 on vinyl, 2,900 on CD, and 800 on cassette.

Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks the best-selling albums based only on traditional album sales. Once Twice Melody is also No. 1 on the Top Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Tastemaker Albums, and Top Current Album Sales chart. On the Billboard 200, which takes into account album sales, individual track sales, and streaming, Once Twice Melody reached No. 12. Two weeks ago, Mitski’s Laurel Hell also debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart.
