Metric have previewed their upcoming album Formentera with its second single, ‘Doomscroller’. Following ‘All Comes Crashing’, the track arrives with a video made in collaboration with visual artist Justin Broadbent. Watch and listen below.
“Justin captured rare studio footage of the recording of ‘Doomscroller’ and we used it like a visual anchor, as evocative places outside the room keep creeping in,” the band’s Emily Haines said in a statement. “These traces of life on earth that appear and disappear throughout the song subtly mirror the shifting moods of the music.”
Formentera is due to arrive on July 8.
