The latest BROCKHAMPTON release is a cover of Kool & The Gang’s ‘Hollywood Swinging’, which appears on the Jack Antonoff-produced Minions: The Rise of Gru soundtrack. You can listen to it below.
The Minions 2 soundtrack features artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Caroline Polachek, Thundercat, and Weyes Blood covering hits from the ’60s and ’70s. So far, we’ve heard the Tame Impala and Diana Ross collab ‘Turn Up the Sunshine’ and St. Vincent’s take on ‘Funkytown’. The album arrives on July 1 to coincide with the movie’s theatrical release.
Back in January, BROCKHAMPTON said they would be taking an “indefinite hiatus” following their Coachella 2022 performance. During their set, however, the group announced what will be their final album, which is due out later this year.
