Julien Chang Releases New Song ‘Time & Place’

Baltimore artist Julien Chang has shared a new song, ‘Time & Place’, taken from his upcoming sophomore album The Sale. It follows the lead single ‘Marmalade’, which came out last month. Check it out below, along with a live performance video shot at Purgatory in Brooklyn.

“In ‘Time and Place,’ things slow down,” Chang explained in a statement. “The most basic categories of experience in the title match the affecting simplicity of the acoustic guitar chords. As “time and place” are the heart of experience, the easy honesty of the acoustic guitar is the heart of this song’s beauty. A sad and beautiful song about a loved one quietly exiting your place. ‘Time and Place’ features an original string arrangement by Davey Copeland.”

The Sale will be released on November 4 via Transgressive Records.
