Taylor Swift to Make Her Feature Directorial Debut for Searchlight Pictures

Taylor Swift is set to make her feature directorial debut for Searchlight Pictures, from an original script she wrote herself. “Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller,” Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield said in a statement. “It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.” The title and all further details have yet to be confirmed.

Last year, Swift wrote and directed a short film to accompany the 15-minute version of her song ‘All Too Well’. The video, which is an Oscar contender, won the 2022 VMA for Best Direction, making her the first artist to be honored as best director twice at the VMAs. Following the release of her latest album, Midnights, in October, she shared a self-directed video for ‘Bejeweled’ featuring Laura Dern, HAIM, Jack Antonoff, and more.
