Peter Gabriel Releases New Song ‘Panopticom’

Peter Gabriel has returned with his first single since 2016. It’s called ‘Panopticom’, and it features Brian Eno on synth, David Rhodes on guitar, Tony Levin on bass, and Manu Katché on drums. Give it a listen below.

“The first song is based on an idea I have been working on to initiate the creation of an infinitely expandable accessible data globe: The Panopticom,” Gabriel explained in a statement. “We are beginning to connect a like-minded group of people who might be able to bring this to life, to allow the world to see itself better and understand more of what’s really going on.”

‘Panopticom’ is the first preview of Gabriel’s long-awaited album i/o, which will mark his first LP in 21 years. No further details have yet been announced.

Last year, Gabriel contributed to an Earth Day charity album curated by Eno and shared a cover of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Here It Is’ for a tribute compilation.
