Rihanna returned to live music for a performance at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, which took place at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium last night (February 12). She kicked off the show with ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ while suspended on a floating platform before being lowered down the stage. She then ran through a medley of hits, including ‘Where Have You Been’, ‘Only Girl (In the World)’, ‘We Found Love’, ‘Rude Boy’, ‘Work’, ‘Wild Thoughts’, ‘Pour It Up’, ‘Umbrella’, ‘Diamonds’, and more. Watch the career-spanning set below.
Rihanna wore a red jumpsuit during the performance, revealing a belly rub that caused speculation that she is expecting her second child. Her representative later confirmed that she is indeed pregnant.
Earlier in the night, Chris Stapleton delivered a rendition of the US National Anthem that brought Eagles coach Nick Sirianni to tears, while Babyface sang ‘America the Beautiful’ and Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph performed ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’.
U2, meanwhile, announced their long-rumored Las Vegas residency in a new Super Bowl commercial. U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At the Sphere will take place at the MSG Sphere at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada this fall.
