Manchester Orchestra and Jimmy Eat World Cover Each Other

Next month, Manchester Orchestra and Jimmy Eat World are heading out on a co-headline US tour, which runs through the end of August. Today, the two bands have covered each other’s songs: Manchester Orchestra have tackled ‘Table for Glasses’, the opening track from 1999’s Clarity, while Jimmy Eat World have offered their take on ‘Telepath’, from 2021’s The Million Masks of God. Take a listen below, and check out the bands’ upcoming tour dates.

“It was an absolute honour to trade covers with one of our favourite bands,” Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull said in a statement. “We approached our cover with admiration for the original and had a blast exploring all of its spacious corners.”

Jimmy Eat World’s Jim Adkins added; “Manchester Orchestra is great at sitting you down, spinning your chair around and stopping it to show you are now somewhere else. We knew if we were going to cover an immersive song like ‘Telepath,’ we’d have to commit to ‘stopping the chair’ at bizzaro-Jimmy Eat World universe.”

Manchester Orchestra have also announced their rescheduled sold-out London shows and added two new shows to their UK run; find those dates below, too.
