Acclaimed visual artist Marco Sanges, renowned for his distinctive photographic storytelling, will dazzle Germany with his latest exhibition, Sensations, from October 7th, 2023, to February 24th, 2024, at the Haus Der Fotografie.
His photographs combine Byzantine grandeur with Surrealist wit and Gothic romance, lauded by Prince Stanislas (Stash) Klossowski de Rola for his “distinctive idiom.” Sanges transforms subject matter into his own entrancing, idiosyncratic vision, rather than reproducing painting through photography.
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in the USA has honoured Marco Sanges by permanently including his artwork in their collection. Furthermore, one of his pieces gained further recognition when it was showcased and sold at the prestigious Christie’s London Auction in 2023.
