Taylor swift has set a new record for the most No. 1 albums for any female artist in history, surpassing previous record holder Barbra Streisand. The re-recorded version of Speak Now has earned Swift her 12th No. 1 LP, debuting with 716,000 equivalent album units in the US in the week ending July 13. It’s the biggest week for any album since Swift’s last record, Midnights.
Swift has also become the first woman in history to have four albums chart in the Billboard Top 10 at the same time, Billboard notes. The only other artist to have at least four titles in the Top 10 concurrently is Prince, who had five albums reach the Top 10 the week following his death in 2016. Swift is now tied with Drake for most No. 1 albums; only the Beatles (19) and Jay-Z (14) have more.
