Julia Holter Returns With New Song ‘Sun Girl’

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Julia Holter is back with a new single, ‘Sun Girl’, out today via Domino. It arrives alongside an accompanying video by the artist and animator Tammy Nguyễn. According to Holter, the song lyrically evokes “being brought out of my comfort zone—into the unknown, playfulness and chaos.” Check it out below.

‘Sun Girl’ marks Holter’s first proper single since releasing her album Aviary in 2018. In 2020, she composed the score for Eliza Hittman’s film Never Rarely Sometimes Always.
