Sleater-Kinney Share Video for New Single ‘Say It Like You Mean It’

Sleater-Kinney have shared their new single, ‘Say It Like You Mean It’, alongside an accompanying video. The band’s Carrie Brownstein directed the clip, which stars Succession‘s J. Smith-Cameron. Check it out below.

“The video tells the story of a woman who’s lost all sense of what’s appropriate,” Brownstein said in a statement. “Sick with the alienation that stems from existing in a disparate emotional state from the person or people closest to her, she grapples with debilitating loss, desires to be seen, and dares you to leave.”

‘Say It Like You Mean It’ will appear on Sleater-Kinney’s forthcoming album, Little Rope, which is out January 19. It follows lead single ‘Hell’.
