Coco have put out a new offering from their upcoming album 2, which arrives March 1 via First City Artists. It’s called ‘Moodrings’, and it follows previous singles ‘Mythological Man’ and ‘Do This Right’. Check a video for it below.
“At Montrose Recording in Richmond, the engineer Adrian had an incredible modular synth rig, which we ran Maia’s vocal through to achieve the chopped up ‘femme-bot’ instrumental breaks,” the group’s Oliver Hill explained in a statement about ‘Moodrings’. “There was a bit of back and forth about whether to include the bridge, which we ultimately felt earned its place with a dramatic scene change into string-led Philly soul.”
