Sean Henry Announces New Album ‘Head’, Enlists Lowertown’s Olivia O for New Song

Sean Henry has announced a new album, Head, which is set for release on August 30 via Double Double Whammy. Along with the news, he’s shared the lead single, ‘Burn It Out’, which features Olivia Osby of Lowertown. Listen to it below.

Henry got involved in NYC’s music scene after Double Double Whammy offered him a bedroom for $200/month as long as he mailed out their records. Head follows his 2015 debut It’s All About Me, 2018’s Fink, and 2019’s A Jump From the High Dove. Following the release of Fink, Henry moved back to Connecticut. “New York had broken up with me,” he said in press materials.

During the writing and recording process for Head, Henry was inspired by a series of near-death experiences. One late night, he hit a deer while driving down a road in his hometown; a few nights later, he lost control of the wheel on the highway and crashed into the guardrail. “The darkness really overtook me at that point,” he recalled. “That car was my escape. I was stuck, and totally alone.”

Last month, Osby and Henry launched their new project, Child Star, with the single ‘City Song’.
