Orla Gartland Announces New Album ‘Everybody Needs a Hero’, Shares New Single

Orla Gartland has announced her sophomore album, Everybody Needs a Hero. The follow-up to 2021’s Woman on the Internet is set for release on October 4 via her own label New Friends. It includes the previously unveiled singles ‘Little Chaos’, ‘Mine’, and ‘Kiss Ur Face Forever’, as well as the new cut ‘The Hit’. Check it out below.

Gartland made the new album between her London studio and Middle Farm Studios in Devon. She co-produced the LP with longtime collaborators Tom Stafford and Peter Miles.

Gartland described the relationship in ‘The Hit’ as being “like a voodoo doll thing… you’re so connected it hurts.” She added, “It’s a nice gesture, because you’re admitting you care about that person so much that when they’re in pain you feel it too, but there’s a point that it can go too far and that’s just not healthy or sustainable.”
