Sara Wolff has released a new single, ‘Lost in Your Neighbourhood’. The track was recorded in Margate with producer Mike Lindsay (Tunng, LUMP). Listen to it below.
“I wrote it after finding myself in a place from the past, and realising how far I had come,” Wolff, who is originally from Norway but now based in Liverpool, said in a statement. “Mike and I had initially not planned on working on this one together, as I had given up on ever finding the right arrangement. I had been scratching my head over it for years, and recorded four different versions without finding something that worked. We produced and recorded the song together from scratch down in Margate, with some lovely old synths, a pad we made out of slowed-down recorder sounds and Gregorian-esque vocal harmonies. I’ve figured out that it’s the perfect tempo to walk to, eat cereal to or wriggle your fingers along to.”
Wolff released her most recent EP, Magic Hour, in 2023.
