Caroline Says Unveils Video for New Song ‘Roses’

Caroline Says has previewed her forthcoming album The Lucky One with a new single, ‘Roses’. It follows lead cut ‘Faded and Golden’. Check out a video for it below.

‘Roses’ originally began when Caroline Sallee was looking through her grandma’s collection of commemorative Kentucky Derby glasses, each one etched with the name of a winner. The song tells the story of ‘Sunday Silence’,  the horse that won the year Sallee was born. “This is a song of longing and lament,” she explained in a statement. “Someone pressured to win in whatever race they think they’re on facing the sting of unmet expectations.”

The Lucky One is set for release on October 11 via Western Vinyl.
