Squid Game Season 3 to Premiere on Netflix on 27th June

Today, Netflix announced the return of its global phenomenon, Squid Game, for a third and final season, premiering on 27th June. The news, shared by Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Head of Content, at Next on Netflix arrives alongside exclusive first-look stills and a tantalizing glimpse into the fate of the surviving players.

Season 3 continues where Season 2 left off by exploring Gi-hun’s (Lee Jung-jae) choices in the midst of overwhelming despair. With each round of the deadly games, the survivors find their decisions leading to increasingly dire consequences, pushing the limits of suspense and drama.

In the new launch poster, a bloodied contestant is dragged towards a coffin wrapped in pink ribbons by a pink guard. Unlike Season 2’s rainbow-hued track, the new floor foreshadows the cutthroat finale with an ominously swirling flower pattern.  In last season’s post-credit scene, Young-hee and her companion Cheol-su were shown in sinister silhouettes, hinting at even greater brutality.

A record-breaking 68 million views were logged in the first week of Netflix’s release of Squid Game Season 2, making it the third most-watched non-English TV series in Netflix history. The final chapter of Season 3 promises to be a grand and unforgettable one.

Squid Game Season 3 streams on 27th June, only on Netflix.
