Business at The White Lotus resorts seems to be booming despite some less-than-kosher events that might have damaged another chain’s reputation.
In fact, viewers can’t get enough of the HBO hit, praising the black comedy for its complex characters and intriguing storylines.
Thankfully, HBO took notice and renewed The White Lotus for season 4 even before season 3 started airing. As for when we might get new episodes, we’re sorry to say it’s going to be quite the wait.
The White Lotus Season 4 Release Date
The White Lotus premiered in summer 2021. Season 2 followed in late fall 2022, and season 3 was delayed by the Hollywood strikes and premiered in February 2025.
At the time of writing, episodes are rolling out weekly, with the finale scheduled for April.
Based on its previous release schedule, we’re guessing The White Lotus season 4 will come out sometime in 2026.
Given that the show already got the green light for another season, production might be quicker this time around. We could meet the new resort guests as early as next spring. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed.
The White Lotus Cast
The White Lotus welcomes a new cast with every installment, so we don’t know who will star in the show’s fourth season just yet.
Jennifer Coolidge, Jon Gries, and Natasha Rothwell are the only actors who have appeared in multiple seasons.
Coolidge portrayed Tanya McQuoid in Seasons 1 and 2, Gries played Greg Hunt in Seasons 2 and 3, and Rothwell appeared as Belinda Lindsey in Seasons 1 and 3.
What Will Happen in The White Lotus Season 4?
The White Lotus follows the same formula each season. It starts with the discovery of a body, setting up a mystery that unfolds in subsequent episodes.
Additionally, every season is set in a different location. Viewers get to meet the guests and staff at a luxurious White Lotus resort around the world. The first took place in Hawaii, the second in Italy, and the third is set in Thailand.
We don’t know where The White Lotus season 4 will be set, but you can expect another exotic backdrop. A shocking death is likely in the cards, with tensions running high among staff and guests as the week progresses.
While it’s early to speculate about what might happen in a future season, it’s safe to say that the show won’t stray from placing its characters in awkward situations.
As The White Lotus proves time and time again, glamorous vacations look perfect solely on the surface. Once you dig deeper, everyone has something to hide.
