It’s been a decade since Bruno Mars’ last solo album, 24K Magic. On January 5, the pop star took to social media to finally offer an update on its follow-up: “My album is done.” Here’s everything we know so far.
Has the album been formally announced?
No. In fact, Mars’ tweet is the first confirmation of a new solo LP, with a release date and tracklist yet to be revealed.
What’s kept Bruno Mars busy since 24K Magic?
Mars has hardly been absent from the spotlight in recent years. He teamed up with Anderson .Paak to form Silk Sonic and released An Evening with Silk Sonic in 2021. His high-profile collaborations have also secured a consistent presence in the charts: ‘Die With a Smile’ with Lady Gaga and ‘APT.’ with Rosé both topped the Billboard Global 200 and were inescapable last year. In 2025, he also linked up with Sexyy Red for ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’.
Any idea what the album will sound like?
Based on Mars’ streak of collaborations, we can expect the new album to be wide-reaching. He also recently performed at an all-star corporate holiday party alongside the likes of Slash and Eddie Vedder,, so there might be more of a rock influence.
