Crimson Desert features a massive arsenal of weapons, armor, and upgrade paths, and like most action RPGs, you’ll need to keep improving your gear if you want to survive tougher enemies and more challenging encounters. Once you move past the first few upgrade levels, you’ll need Bloodstone for higher-level upgrades, especially for stronger weapons and advanced armor.
This bright red ore can be used at the blacksmith to upgrade weapons, armor, and metal shields, including powerful gear like the Sword of the Lord. Crimson Desert: How to Get Bloodstone and Where to Find It
Like we said, Bloodstone is a crafting material in Crimson Desert that you’ll need to upgrade weapons, armor, and metal shields at the blacksmith. You can find Bloodstone across multiple regions in Crimson Desert, usually along cliffs, mountainsides, and deep ravines. Its bright red color makes it easy to spot against rock surfaces, but it’s far less common than early materials like iron and copper.
While Bloodstone is more common in late-game areas like Pailune and the desert regions, you can still find a handful of early-game deposits around places like Hernand and Rocca Hill, which are enough to get through your first few upgrades. Here are all the known Bloodstone locations in Crimson Desert and how to get them:
Hernand
Hernand is one of the first places where you can find Bloodstone, but there aren’t many deposits here. One is located just north of St. Halssius’s House of Healing. Cross the river and check the base of the cliff on the other side, where you’ll find a strip of bright red ore running up the rock face. Another can be found in Haunted Hills. From the North Hernand Watchtower, head slightly northwest and look around the base of a nearby cliff. If you’re still short on Bloodstone early on, completing “The Count’s Honor” for the House Roberts faction will reward you with three pieces.
Rocca Hill
Rocca Hill is one of the better early areas to farm Bloodstone. Head to the southwest side, where you’ll find a vein along a steep path leading down into a valley. The red ore is clearly visible against the rock and can be mined with a pickaxe. If you notice deposits higher up the cliff, climb up and use Force Palm to break them. There are multiple veins in this area, so it’s worth spending some time here.
Anvil Hill
If you head east of Anvil Hill and move just north of the river, you’ll come across a deep ravine with more Bloodstone at the bottom. This area also has iron ore, so it’s a good place to gather multiple materials in one run.
Crimson Desert Region
Further into the game, Bloodstone becomes more common across the Crimson Desert region. You can find multiple deposits south of Tashkalp town, as well as along the main road heading north toward Trader’s Expanse. These veins often appear in clusters, making this one of the most efficient areas to farm the material.
Delesyia
In Delesyia, you can find a Bloodstone deposit on the cliff just west of the town. Like most deposits, it’s located along the rock face, so keep an eye on cliffs and elevated terrain as you explore the area.
To mine Bloodstone, equip a pickaxe from the equipment wheel and strike the ore directly. You can also use abilities like Force Palm to break deposits, especially those positioned higher up. Once collected, take the material to a blacksmith in Hernand to upgrade your gear and improve your overall combat performance.
