Earlier this month, Boards of Canada teased their return by sharing a piece of music that marked their first new material in 13 years. Today, they’ve officially announced a new album: Inferno is due for release on 29 May 2026 via Warp. No single has been released to accompany the news, but we do know the duo’s fifth LP, following 2013’s Tomorrow’s Harvest, features 18 new tracks. ‘Tape 05’, which the group uploaded on YouTube on April 16, doesn’t appear in the tracklist.
