Yard Act Announce New Album, Share New Single ‘Redeemer’

Yard Act have announced a new album, You’re Gonna Need a Little Music. The follow-up to 2024’s Where’s My Utopia? drops July 17 via Island Records. It’s led by the thunderous new single ‘Redeemer’, which is accompanied by a music video. Check it out below.

The band’s third album was recorded between their hometown of Leeds and in Los Angeles with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Nine Inch Nails, Beck, St Vincent). It also marks the first time the quartet have made an record together as a live band in the same room. “The first two records were both laptop records essentially,” vocalist James Smith explained in a statement. The group were able to settle into “uninterrupted five month period” of creativity, during which they made “40 or 50 songs.” Smith added, “It felt like freedom. It felt like everything I’d wanted from being in a band.”
