Morgan Lehman has opened the fourth iteration of Twenty by Sixteen, a legacy exhibition featuring more than sixty artists, each presenting two works measuring exactly 20 × 16 inches. Originally conceived by curator emeritus Geoffrey Young, this exhibition uses a shared format to bring together a wide range of artistic approaches, encouraging experimentation and creativity within a strict dimensional framework.
Presented as a summer exhibition, Twenty by Sixteen also marks the inauguration of Morgan Lehman’s expanded fourth-floor gallery space in West Chelsea. Reflecting on the exhibition’s enduring premise, Young talks of the show as a platform for diverse creative responses to contemporary life, concerning questions of politics, aesthetics, technology and personal expression across a series of uniformly sized works.
The exhibition remains on view through July 31, 2026 at 526 W. 26th Street, Suite 410, New York, New York 10001.
