Beabadoobee Announces New Album ‘Pylon’, Shares Video for New Song

Beabadoobee has announced a new album, Pylon, which will drop on September 18 via Dirty Hit/Interscope Records. Leading the follow-up to This Is How Tomorrow Moves is the righteously furious and downright mathy ‘Sun Has Set’. It comes paired with a video directed by Bea Kristi’s partner and longtime visual collaborator Jake Erland. Check it out and find the album cover and tracklist below.

“A lot of the songs on this record are things I wish I could have said to someone,” Kristi said in a statement. “This song has this petty tunnel vision – it’s like, I hate you. You’re gonna stay here and listen to how much I hate you. Because I never got to say that.”

According to a press release, the songs on Pylon touch on “classic grunge, midwest emo and ‘90s radio rock.” (There’s definitely a heavy dose of Midwest emo on ‘Sun Has Set’.) Guests on the record include Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Turnstile singer Brendan Yates, Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, Deftones’ Chino Moreno, and Title Fight’s Shane Moran, as well as Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975.
