Echo & the Bunnymen have announced their first album in 12 years. Produced by frontman Ian McCulloch, the follow-up to 2014’s Meteorites is due for release on September 18. Check out the new single ‘Brussels is Haunted’ below.
The Bunnymen started working on Apples for Isaac shortly after the 2018 release of The Stars, the Oceans & the Moon, a collection of re-recordings. The LP feaures Clem Burke, the legendary Blondie drummer who died last year, on 10 of its 11 tracks. In a new feature with MOJO, McCulloch said, “I think COVID had something to do with it. But also I just wanted, lyrically, for everything to make sense — or to be cryptically important. Which is a hell of a sentence.”
