On Tuesday night, Phoebe Bridgers made a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, enlisting a backing band of children for the television debut of ‘Lost Boys’. She returned the following night to deliver an acoustic rendition of the Lost Weekend single, this time with a group of older musicians, including Dan Reeder (who Bridgers’ band boygenius covered for SiriusXM in 2023) and guitarist David Grier. The chorus goes “Lost boys/ Never grow up/ Never grow old,” but maybe it just feels like that, at least when they’re playing music. Or maybe Bridgers is just having fun with it. Lost Weekend, Bridgers’ third album, arrives August 14 via Dead Oceans.
