New Radicals, of ‘You Get What You Give’ fame, have returned with their first new song in nearly three decades. ‘One Night Only (Break Loose Break Free!)’ was written for the soundtrack to the rom-com One Night Only, starring Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner, which arrives this week. The single marks the band’s first new original song since the release of Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too in 1998. Frontman Gregg Alexander went on to write and produce hits including Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Murder on the Dance Floor’, Santana and Michelle Branch’s ‘Game of Love’, and Adam Levine’s Oscar-nominated ‘Lost Stars’. New Radicals reunited in 2021 to perform at President Biden’s inauguration.
