Erykah Badu and the Alchemist have been teasing their collaborative album for more than a year, and now it finally has an official release date. It’s out August 28 via Control FREAQ Records/Young Recordings, but while Alchemist (aka Alan Maman) previously revealed the title to be Abi & Alan, it appears to have been retracted: Sorry, we don’t have an album title yet … is currently the title of the album’s Bandcamp page. You can, however, check out the new single ‘Witch Doctor’ below.
The pair co-produced the album, which was recorded over 18 months in Dallas and Los Angeles. They previously released the single ‘Next To You’ and the Amazon Music exclusive ‘Echos 19 (mix 122)’.
