Fontaines D.C. have confirmed that their fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, is coming soon. It’s set to follow 2024’s Romance. Here’s everything we know so far.
What is the release date of the new album?
The band has yet to announce Dopamine Chamber‘s release date, but ‘Six Shot Morning’, but a numbered first pressing that’s available for 24 hours at their shop for the price of $28.03 ships in “late 2026.” According to the order page, the “number on the LP sleeve will be randomised.”
Have Fontaines D.C. shared any more teasers for the record?
On August 16, the band posted a 26-second video on social media that shows a spinning blue planet transforming into a blue iris. The phrase “Dopamine Chamber” then appears, followed by “2026.” The clip is soundtracked by ‘Six Shot Morning’, one of two songs they debuted during their first headline show of 2026 on August 8 in Cádiz, Spain.
What has the band said about the new album?
The band’s members have mostly shared updates about the record, but haven’t revealed much about its musical direction. “We’ve been writing, it’s been fun,” guitarist Carlos O’Connell said in an interview back in January. “We’re at Reading & Leeds and there are a couple of shows before that. I think if the music is there, it could get busy.”
