M83 have shared the details of their tenth studio album, I Wrote You a Letter, along with its first single, ‘Blister Sunrise’. The follow-up to 2023’s Fantasy is set to arrive on September 25 via Other Suns. Check out the expansive, otherworldly new track below.
“This record reflects my state of mind over the past few years,” Anthony Gonzalez explained in a statement. “I’m deeply disillusioned by the world we’re living in. I wanted something less calculated, more spontaneous. More punk, in a way.” The album also marks the return of Benoît de Villeneuve, whose history with the project dates back to 2003’s Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts.
