There’s so much music coming out all the time that it’s hard to keep track. On those days when the influx of new tracks is particularly overwhelming, we sift through the noise to bring you a curated list of the most interesting new releases (the best of which will be added to our Best New Songs playlist). Below, check out our track roundup for Monday, November 2, 2026.

Yaeji – ‘ddr’

Yaeji is back with ‘ddr’, her first single of 2026. The vivacious, hypnotic track comes paired with a Giseong Jun-directed video that culminates in an actual Dance Dance Revolution party. “i had this thought while out one night in nyc: if our current world is suffocating us then what does the reality we wanna see actually look like?” the producer wrote in a YouTube caption. “maybe we’re actually experiencing a dance dance ‘revolution.’ the miracle of all our bodies on the dancefloor in the same place at the same time. we’re making sure there’s water and choosing to protect each other so no one’s getting harassed, all while on our own introspective journeys soundtracked by the music. this one is for you. it’s also for me.”

Computerwife – ‘Hammered’

Ahead of the release of Computerwife’s new album Born From a Wish on Friday, Addie Warncke’s project has shared one more single, ‘Hammered’. The song’s dizzying structure mirrors the singer’s state of confusion, as Warncke recalled in a statement: “I made this in 2023. The song was originally self-deprecating towards my own confusion in life and then changed when I noticed some people around me starting to shift their personalities to fit into different social environments. It really annoyed and disappointed me, probably because I felt so lost myself. It’s not something you can really address outwardly so it ended up all becoming one song instead.”

Sufjan Stevens – ‘On This Christmas (It Only Gets Better)’

Sufjan Stevens has had a tradition of making Christmas music for people that find the holiday strangely emotional, but he hasn’t released any in a while – almost 15 years, to be exact. Today, that changes with a newly unearthed track called ‘On This Christmas (It Only Gets Better)’, which will appear on a new compilation called Worst Christmas Ever!, arriving this Friday.

Chastity Belt – ‘Friends for This’

Chastity Belt have a new record out on Friday called All My Friends, and today they’ve shared the opening track, ‘Friends for This’, which naturally introduces the album’s thematic core. “I wrote the lyrics for this song right after moving back from England,” guitarist and vocalist Lydia Lund recalled. “It was a time where it felt sooo good to reconnect with my friends after spending the last two years away from Seattle. We had lots of sleepovers. We had a lot of fun recording vocals for this song in my basement with Julia, Gretchen and Samur. Gretchen recorded some pretty amazing wales for the end of this song. I think if you listen really closely, you can hear them.”

Oso Oso – ‘the facts’

Oso Oso have previewed their new album, an exchange of information, with a soaring track called ‘the facts’. The LP comes out this Friday, and Jade Lilitri has already shared the advance tracks ‘know you know me better’, ‘it’s all bait’, and ‘the nights’.

Joshua Idehen – ‘Say Less’

Joshua Idehen has dropped an upbeat party jam called ‘Say Less’. Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard co-produced the track, which follows the artist’s acclaimed debut (I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got to Try).

smush – ‘john dearly’

Brooklyn-based band smush have unleashed a new track, the fuzzy, infectious ‘john dearly’, taken from their forthcoming album i’ll always wish,,. “‘john dearly’ is about the experience of being in your early adulthood and still feeling like a child,” vocalist/bassist Emily Borrowman explained. “It touches on making the same mistakes over and over again and feeling stagnant.”
