Field Music have shared a new single, ‘Limits of Language’. It’s the title track off their upcoming album, which is out October 11 and includes last month’s ‘Six Weeks, Nine Wells’. Listen to it below.
The new song finds Peter Brewis wondering “if a hug or a smile or some seemingly mundane gesture (like tidying up) might reveal more than a few misunderstood words. Or a few misunderstood lyrics. Or even a misunderstood quotation.” Brewis added, “Musically, we were looking to do something that really looked at the piano as a simple percussion instrument (which it isn’t) and talk about how vocabulary and grammar can be limited when trying to communicate…”
