Fontaines D.C. have performed a dreamy rendition of Bring Me the Horizon’s ‘Can You Feel My Heart’ for triple j’s s Like a Version Series, combining it with Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’. As someone who probably grouped those songs together in a playlist as an angsty teenager in the early 2010s, I found the mix quite stirring. Check it out below.
“It was Grian [Chatten]’s idea initially and I think the sound of [‘Can You Feel My Heart’] — the kind of electronic elements and just the general vibe of it — reflects stuff that we were touching on on our last album Romance,” guitarist Conor Curley explained in the behind-the-scenes video. “So it seemed like a good place to start, and it’s a moody, beautiful song.”
