MobLand Season 2: Cast, Rumours & Release Date

Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren in the same show? We’ll take it.

A crime drama created by Ronan Bennett, also responsible for Top Boy, MobLand explores what happens when two crime families go to war. It’s the kind of conflict that threatens to ruin lives and crumble empires.

We’re on the edge of our seats.

MobLand Season 2 Release Date

MobLand premiered on Paramount+ on March 30, 2025, with a pilot directed by Guy Ritchie. Episodes will drop weekly until the finale scheduled for June.

While MobLand hasn’t been officially renewed, the powers that be seem willing to give it some wiggle room to grow.

When asked whether there will be a MobLand season 2, actor Tom Hardy said he hopes so, and one of the show’s producers expressed certainty that they’ll get to return.

As long as that’s the case, we could get a second season as early as spring 2026.

MobLand Cast

  • Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza
  • Pierce Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan
  • Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan
  • Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan
  • Joanne Froggatt as Jan Da Souza
  • Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan

What Will Happen in MobLand Season 2?

At the time of writing, only one episode has been out, so it’s tricky to speculate what MobLand season 2 might bring.

The series follows the Harrigans, a powerful crime family, who come head-to-head with the Stevensons, another gang. The Harrigans’ fixer, Harry Da Souza, is caught in the middle and his loyalties are tested when the conflict rages on.

MobLand was met with positive reviews and currently has a 74% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Given the eye-catching cast, we’re sure it will only grow in popularity with each episode.

As for what season 2 might bring, there is no shortage of problems when you work for a crime family. Harry Da Souza’s to-do list is likely to become overwhelming as the show evolves.

Are There Other Shows Like MobLand?

If you’re into crime series, you can’t go wrong with the iconic The Sopranos. You might also like Ray Donovan. Fun fact: MobLand was initially developed as an origin story for that show, meant to centre on the Donovan family. However, it eventually became a standalone.

Other shows you might enjoy include Ozark, Bosch, Top Boy, Sons of Anarchy, Taboo, Mayor of Kingstown, and Justified.
