It’s been a decade since Bruno Mars’ last solo album, 24K Magic. After tweeting that his new album “is done” on January 5, the pop star has now announced that it’s called The Romantic, and it’s out February 27 via Atlantic Records. Here’s everything we know so far.

What’s kept Bruno Mars busy since 24K Magic?
Mars has hardly been absent from the spotlight in recent years. He teamed up with Anderson .Paak to form Silk Sonic and released An Evening with Silk Sonic in 2021. His high-profile collaborations have also secured a consistent presence in the charts: ‘Die With a Smile’ with Lady Gaga and ‘APT.’ with Rosé both topped the Billboard Global 200 and were inescapable last year. In 2025, he also linked up with Sexyy Red for ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’.
Any idea what the album will sound like?
Based on Mars’ streak of collaborations, we can expect the new album’s sound to be wide-reaching. The first single from the project will be released on Friday, January 9.
Will Bruno Mars tour in support of The Romantic?
Along with the album details, Bruno Mars announced an extensive tour that kicks off in Las Vegas, where he’s been playing residencies for years. The Romantic Tour will then take him to stadiums across North America and Europe from April to October. It’s set to feature support from his Silk Sonic collaborator Anderson .Paak (as DJ Pee .Wee), Leon Thomas, Victoria Monét, and Raye.
