Waxahatchee Announces New Album ‘Tigers Blood’, Shares Video for New Song With MJ Lenderman

Waxahatchee has announced her next album and first on new label home ANTI-, Tigers Blood. The follow-up to 2020’s Saint Cloud is out March 22 and features performances by MJ Lenderman, Spencer Tweedy, and Phil and Brad Cook. Lenderman contributes guitar and harmony vocals to the lead single ‘Right Back to It’, which you can check out below alongside a video directed by Corbett Jones and Nick Simonite.

Katie Crutchfield wrote most of the songs on Tigers Blood during what she calls a “hot hand spell” while on tour at the end of 2022. She recorded the album with Saint Cloud producer Brad Cook at Texas’s Sonic Ranch studio.

In 2022, Crutchfield teamed up with Jess Williamson for the collaborative album I Walked With You A Ways, released under the name Plains.
