Earlier this year, Grimes teased an AI-themed album titled Psy Opera. It doesn’t have a release date or tracklist yet, but today she’s shared the lead single from it, ‘ACCELERANDO’, which was produced with VADAKIN. Take a listen below.
According to a press release, “From the AI debate to immoral wars to a bad ex to looksmaxers to the importance of religion, Psy Opera will cover everything Grimes witnessed as a woman of history during her hiatus from pop music.”
Grimes has also unveiled a trailer for the album, in which she says, “In the beginning was the word and the word was God. And man made God in his image, and God embraced man’s nature. And Eden was forged in metal and artificial light rivaled the sun.” Her last album remains 2020’s Miss Anthropocene.
