One Step Closer have announced a new album called Zero. The follow-up to 2024’s All You Embrace drops on February 19 via Run for Cover. It’s led by the songs ‘Blue Hour’ and ‘Was It Ever Enough?’, the first of which starts out shadowy and contemplative in a way the band has rarely sounded before. Take a listen below.
The new album was recorded by longtime collaborator Jon Markson (Drug Church, The Story So Far, Drain, Koyo). “This may have been the hardest year for us, and that’s reflected in the songs” vocalist Ryan Savitski said in a statement. “There’s so much desperation on this record but I think people can relate to that–these songs will always mean something different to me than everyone else, no one is living the same exact experiences, but I want people to take these songs and mold them to fit their own.”
