Football Manager 2025: What We Know So Far

0

Fans have been left in the dark after Football Manager 2025 was cancelled by developers Sports Interactive.

The highly anticipated addition to the football simulation series was originally set for a November 2024 release, but faced multiple delays pushing that date to March 2025.

In a shock move Sports Interactive then made the decision to cancel the development of the game in February 2025, shifting their focus onto the 2026 version of Football Manager.

Why Was Football Manager 2025 Cancelled?

The series dates back to 2004 in its current form, and all the way back to 1992 under its previous name Championship Manager. The highly anticipated sequel was touted as the biggest shakeup in the game’s stories history, bringing with it some huge changes like a new 3D match engine using the Unity engine, and the inclusion of women’s football.

The developers of the game told disappointed fans that: “Due to a variety of challenges that we’ve been open about to date, and many more unforeseen, we currently haven’t achieved what we set out to do in enough areas of the game, despite the phenomenal efforts of our team.

“Each decision to delay the release was made with the aim of getting the game closer to the desired level but, as we approached critical milestones at the turn of the year, it became unmistakably clear that we would not achieve the standard required, even with the adjusted timeline.”

They blamed “stakeholder compliance, including legal and financial regulations” for delaying the announcement of cancellation, apologising for the “time it has taken to communicate this decision”.

They go on to say that all efforts would be shifting to the 2026 edition of the game and that all players who pre-ordered FM25 will receive a refund.

What Will Happen to Football Manager 2024?

Many fans called on Sports Interactive to provide a free update to FM24 while the wait for the 2026 version continues. Generally Football Manager games receive two major updates, one upon release fixing bugs and updating playerbases based on the results of Beta testing and real-life transfers, and a winter update, bringing new young players into the database, updating the stats of existing players, and providing transfer updates after the January window.

Fans were hopeful that a third update would be provided to update the database in line with what would have come with FM25, making team-sheets, financials and player attributes more up-to-date.

The developers however announced in October when the game was originally delayed that there would not be another major update for FM24. They reiterated this in their cancellation announcement saying an update “would divert critical resources away from the development of the next release which requires our full focus.”

How To Curate A High End Wardrobe On A Budget

Do you want to look at a million dollars on a less than million dollar budget? Then check out our clever tips for curating a high-end wardrobe without breaking the bank below.

Choose neutral colors

Bright and bold colors go in and out of fashion over time; however, neutral colors have a timeless quality about them.  This is important when it comes to curating a high end wardrobe on a budget because it means you can invest in a few pieces in neutral colors and continue to use them for a long time.

Focus in particular on colors such as black, navy and gray,  with white and beige also being the best investments here.  Another benefit of investing in high-end items in neutral colors is that you can easily mix and match them with other items in your wardrobe instantly raising the quality of your look.

Compare prices online

If you’re building a home wardrobe on a less than spectacular budget, one of the best tips to use is to get online and compare the price of items from different retailers.  indeed it’s likely you will be shocked by the massive savings you can make on the very same item just by shopping around.

The great news is that sites like Modesens.com do the comparison for you.  All you need to do Is search for a particular product by its name, number , brand or keyword and they will instantly return results showing which stores online you can purchase it from and cost.

Look after your purchases

Most designer items are meant to last a lifetime, if you take care of them in the right way. That means keeping your handbags in their dust bag, and your shoes in boxes with shapers in. You can even get clear display boxes now that allow you to show off your collection without risking it getting dirty or damaged.

When it comes to clothes it’s all about sticking to the care instructions on the label. That means if it says dry clean only, it should never go near your washing machine.

It’s also a good idea to have a decent tailor / seamstress in your phonebook as they can no only make alterations to ensure he perfect fit (which also raises the look of the piece) but can make invisible repairs should the worse happen and you get a hole, fray or tear in your designer piece.

Accessorize carefully

When it comes to building a high-end wardrobe, the accessories you choose mustn’t let down the overall image you are trying to create.  What this means is you need to have just as good and I for detail when choosing accessories like jewelry, sunglasses, hats, shoes and scarves as you do for the main pieces in your wardrobe. Be sure to carefully evaluate quality and style before mixing them with true designer pieces.

Shop vintage

Last of all, a great option for creating a high-end wardrobe on a budget is to shop vintage. Indeed, you can make massive savings by doing this compared to buying a new item. For example, a Chanel flap bag is around $6000 new, but a similar item is only around $3000 when bought as a vintage piece. Of course, you will need to go through all the checks to make sure the item you are buying is authentic. But as the vintage market is so popular these days, you can find independent authenticators online pretty easily.

What is Delta-8, and Why is It So Popular?

Even if you know just a little bit about the Cannabis world, you must have heard about the Delta-8 THC. This specific THC compound is all the rage these days, amongst both seasoned users and more entry-level consumers.

Often called the “Smoother” cousin of Delta-9 THC, it offers a more balanced cannabis experience and produces fewer side effects.

So, what exactly is this compound? How was it made and why is it becoming everyone’s favorite choice? Let’s explore these questions and delve deeply into the green world of Delta-8!

Delta-8: The Ideal THC Compound

When you take THC, you would often prefer not to suffer from the side effects of taking marijuana, like anxiety and temporary health issues. To ensure that, high-quality products are the key. But, what makes your 100mg delta 8 gummies more special than other THC gummies?

Delta-8 THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in cannabis plants, but typically in very small amounts. It’s a hemp-derived compound that interacts with the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS), helping regulate functions such as mood, pain, and appetite.

While it shares a similar name with Delta-9 THC, the main psychoactive compound in cannabis, there are some significant differences between the two.

Delta-8 can be synthesized from CBD (Cannabidiol), which is extracted from industrial hemp. This process not only makes Delta-8 more accessible but also ensures it complies with federal regulations in many areas where Delta-9 remains prohibited.

The ability to derive Delta-8 from hemp is a key reason for its rising popularity, offering a legal and milder alternative to Delta-9 for those seeking therapeutic benefits without the intense high.

The Process of Making Delta-8

Producing Delta-8-THC involves a process known as isomerization. Here’s how it works:

  • CBD Extraction: The process begins with extracting CBD from industrial hemp using methods like CO2 extraction.
  • Isomerization: CBD, a natural isomer of Delta-8, undergoes a transformation process when exposed to acid. This rearranges its molecular structure, converting it into Delta-8-THC.
  • Purification: The resulting product is then refined to remove any unwanted materials, ensuring a pure and potent Delta-8 concentrate.
  • The ability to convert CBD into Delta-8 has made it a cost-effective and scalable option for manufacturers, further fueling its popularity.

What Makes it Different from Delta-9?

If you put Delta-8 and Delta-9 under a microscope, you will find that the two THC compounds are almost identical, but here’s the catch. When you go from delta-8 to delta-9, the placement of the double bond changes.

In Delta-8, you will find the bond on the eight-carbon chain, while in Delta-9 it’s on the ninth. Doesn’t sound like much, right? However, this minor difference creates massive impacts on how these two compounds interact with our bodies.

Delta-9 has a strong pull for CB1 receptors of the brain and the central nervous system, causing an intense high, that can be a bit too powerful, especially for newcomers and those who are not very good with THC use.

Delta-8 interacts a bit more evening with CB1 and CB2 receptors, offering a mild and balanced high, causing less anxiety and paranoia, which are often the main side effects of taking cannabis.

Researchers believe that this balanced interaction with our endocannabinoid system is what helps the user stay more clear-headed and less anxious when they use Delta-8.

So, just as it is crucial to choose the right cannabis strain, picking the right THC compound can change how you experience it.

What Makes Delta-8 a More Refined THC Experience?

Delta-8 is not just about a milder high—it also offers a range of therapeutic benefits:

  • Anti-Anxiety: Many users report feeling calm and relaxed without the paranoia often associated with Delta-9.
  • Pain Relief: Delta-8’s interaction with CB1 and CB2 receptors may help reduce chronic pain and inflammation.
  • Nausea Control: It is effective in reducing nausea and vomiting, making it a potential option for chemotherapy patients.
  • Appetite Stimulation: Similar to Delta-9, Delta-8 can enhance appetite, beneficial for individuals with appetite loss.

These therapeutic effects, combined with a lower risk of side effects, make Delta-8 a more refined and appealing option for those seeking natural relief.

Does Delta-8 Get You High?

If it’s the psychedelic “high” you are seeking, you will get it with Delta-8, but there is a crucial difference.

The high from Delta-8-THC is often described as mellower and more controlled compared to Delta-9. The psychoactive effects are estimated to be about half as potent as Delta-9, resulting in a more relaxed and clear-headed experience.

Users often report feeling euphoric yet functional, making Delta-8 an attractive option for those who want to avoid the overwhelming high of Delta-9. The duration of the high can range from 2 to 8 hours, depending on factors like metabolism, dosage, and consumption method.

Why Is Delta-8 So Popular?

The rising popularity of Delta-8-THC can be attributed to a combination of legal, therapeutic, and experiential factors:

Legality

Derived from hemp, Delta-8 falls into a legal grey area in many states where Delta-9 is banned. This has made it accessible to a wider audience.

Milder Effects

The less intense high appeals to those who want the benefits of THC without paranoia, anxiety, or cognitive impairment.

Therapeutic Potential

Delta-8’s ability to provide pain relief, reduce anxiety, and stimulate appetite makes it a popular choice for medical users.

These factors combined have helped Delta-8 carve out a significant niche in the cannabis market.

Is Delta-8 Safe?

While Delta-8 appears to have a better safety profile than Delta-9, it is not without risks. Potential side effects include:

  • Dry mouth and eyes
  • Drowsiness
  • Mild anxiety

The biggest safety concern lies in the manufacturing process. Since Delta-8 is synthetically derived from CBD, the use of unsafe solvents or lack of proper testing can result in contaminated products.

To ensure safety, consumers should look for third-party lab tests confirming the purity and potency of Delta-8 products.

Where is the Future of Delta-8 Headed?

Delta-8 has become a popular choice amongst users who vape THC. As the popularity of Delta-8 continues to rise, its regulatory status remains a topic of debate.

Some states have already moved to ban or restrict Delta-8, citing concerns about its unregulated production and potential health risks. However, if manufacturers adopt transparent and safe production practices, Delta-8 could become a mainstream option for both recreational and medical use.

For now, Delta-8 represents a middle ground between CBD and Delta-9-THC, offering therapeutic benefits with a smoother, more manageable high. As research evolves, so too will our understanding of this intriguing cannabinoid.

Final Thoughts

Delta-8 gives a milder psychoactive experience, is more accessible, safer in terms of production, and is more therapeutic. That’s why it’s so popular! This is the compound you should opt for, especially if you are a new user, inexperienced, or both.

While it might be more available in the future, choosing the right producer is also crucial. However, if you want the kind of high that takes you off the roof, Delta-9 might be what you are looking for.

So, despite its popularity, whether Delta-8 is right for you will always depend on what you are looking for. If you want something that feels more healthy and sade, it is the one you want!

The Art of Game Design

Game development in casinos is really a convergence of creative thought and technology. The glittering graphics of slot machines, for instance and live games of chance’s interesting sounds all play a role in keeping players interested. Myths, movies, literature and modern arts give sources of inspiration, making for varied gaming experiences. Casino games such as jackpot city South Africa demonstrate how graphics and mechanisms go well in interesting play.

Game developers take the lead in analyzing successful games in other categories, appropriating aspects which increase interactivity and player engagement. The designers test new lighting effects, motion graphics and even narrative strategies in video games and film to expand beyond traditional forms of casino gaming.

From Game Concept to Playable Game

Everything starts as a concept. The themes come first, which appeal to players, for example, an antique treasure hunt, a sci-fi quest or a classical slot experience. This is a market study in which trends and player interests at the current time are recognized. The idea is to come up with a story which is well combined with mechanisms.

When a theme is chosen, major aspects of play are mapped out. Free games, cascading reels and bonus rounds, for instance, can be included. Or is it a simple, short-play experience or a complex, story-driven experience? Knowing these questions in advance avoids revisions in the future.

The Artists of the Games

When a theme is selected, it is now time for the visuals. The graphics play a major role in it—a complex symbol, silky animation and rich environments make it an experience. Artists make visuals come to life using programs such as Photoshop, Blender and Unity. Platforms such as jackpot city South Africa have games whose graphics make it an experience for a player.

A critical element of a well-designed interface is making sure it is intuitive. Stunning graphics won’t help, though, unless users can make buttons and controls work. UX/UI specialists work together with graphic designers in an attempt to make transitions between different facets of a game as streamlined as possible.

The Soundtrack of a Winning Experience

Sound is part of the puzzle. Each spin, each shuffling and each jackpot is all about maximizing excitement. Composers and experts in sound craft music tailored for each of these games, depending on its pace and theme. A great soundscape makes a dull spin an exhilarating experience, keeping players interested.

Background music is a vital component aside from sound effects. Orchestral scores provide an epic mood for certain games and electronic music gives a sense of urgency for others. The music can extend session time, as psychological studies have shown, making it a vital component of game design.

The Code Behind the Action

A game is made possible by powerful code. C++, JavaScript and Python are just a few of the languages programmers use to make it all happen. The animations, bets and spins all go off without a hitch. The outcomes are made honest using Random Number Generators (RNGs), which make all outcomes random and neutral.

Game developers integrate security technologies to protect player data and monetary exchanges. Through blockchain technology, some casinos have started investigating decentralized systems to make gaming outcomes more transparent.

Testing Before Launch

Games go under careful testing before hitting stores. The QA teams take a detailed approach in a bid to find glitches, ensure animations play well and test for well-functioning controls. Platforms such as jackpot city South Africa make it a priority to deliver a trouble-free experience by rigorously testing each of its games before release.

User testing is another critical process. Some of these developers publish games in a beta format, allowing actual users to play and provide input. This fine-tunes aspects such as levels of difficulty, play pace and triggers for bonus rounds.

The Psychology of Engaging Players

Game developers make games engaging using psychology. Reward systems, near misses and progressive jackpots all contribute toward keeping players interested. Colour, sound and instant results lead to a process of anticipation and excitement. Such factors as loyalty rewards and leaderboards give another element of engagement.

Adding in social aspects has been successful as well. Many of these games now incorporate multiplayer games, a system of chats and group bonuses, which enhance interactivity. Achievement systems and daily challenges, which give a player an edge, create a more interesting play session.

Where Casino Games Are Headed

Gaming in casinos is set to become ever more immersive as technology advances. The doors of opportunity are being opened by virtual and augmented realities and interactivity is now part of it. The mobile gaming trend is on and operators like jackpot city South Africa are simplifying content for mobile and tablet. The gaming of the future is set to be shaped by AI and machine learning, which is set to deliver experiences unlike ever.

Developers are exploring cross-platform capability, too. The same game can be played on desktop, mobile and in VR, all in perfect sync, giving gamers greater freedom. Concurrently, enhanced 3D rendering technology is set to continue making graphics in online games ever-better.

Game development for casinos is a rich intermix of technology, psychology and art. Everything matters, from the idea through the launch. Whether a poker game of high stakes or a fantasy-themed slot, each of these games is crafted for excitement, enjoyment and repeat play. The future is in for ever-improved innovations, so online gaming keeps on its course of perpetual change.

billy woods is back with news of his next solo LP, GOLLIWOG, which is led by the Kenny Segal-produced, beguiling ‘Misery’. Offering some context on the album title, the rapper said, “When I was nine years old, I wrote a story about an evil golliwog. My mother read it and told me it was overly derivative and needed some work. Here we are.”

Lucy Dacus – ‘Talk’

The latest Lucy Dacus single, ‘Talk’, is dynamic and damning while still easing the listener in. “Why can’t we talk anymore?/ We used to talk for hours/ Do I make you nervous or bored?” she sings. It’s set to will appear on the singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album Forever Is a Feeling.

Sumac and Moor Mother – ‘Hard Truth’

SUMAC and Moor Mother have unveiled ‘Hard Truth’, the latest preview of their upcoming collaborative album The Film. Featuring additional vocals by Candice Hoyes, the track, which lasts less than two minutes, throbs and haunts in equal measure.

Julia Sanders – ‘Dark Matter’

Julia Sanders has announced her third album, Dark Matter, with the Esther Rose-assisted title track, which introduces the theme of tackling difficult questions rather than looking for answers. “This song became a way to write about the unknowns we live with every day and the ways in which we try so hard to create meaning,” Sanders explained. “It begins with a line about the seemingly endless instinct to wonder why, but the older I get, the more I resonate with the later verse: ‘The only thing to master/ Live in question need no answer.’” She added: “One of my favorite things in this world is singing with Esther. I love the way she builds harmony and the unique way our voices click together. Her bright notes in the chorus mixed with that little riff from Steve’s guitar makes me think of a shooting star, or a lightspeed jump in space.”

Hannah Cohen – ‘Dusty’

Catskills-based singer/songwriter Hannah Cohen has shared a new track from her upcoming LP Earthstar Mountain. ‘Dusty’, which is both lovely and emotionally complex, is “about the relentless passage of time that we will all experience, and the way beauty and sorrow intertwine at every turn,” according to Cohen.

Maia Friedman – ‘Russian Blue’

Maia Friedman has previewed her upcoming LP Goodbye Long Winter Shadow with new single, ‘Russian Blue’, which gently unfurls. “Imagine being 13 in 1999: there was a massive wave of movies and media that preached the ‘one true love,’ ‘will you find your soulmate’ concept,” Friedman explained. “I was consumed by romance, and was convinced I would never find love, because I already found my soulmate in a cat. It was completely naive, but what a vulnerable time, those early teenage years.” She continued: “Cats have, at times, shown me how to live; at once entirely independent with an ‘I don’t give a fuck’ demeanor, while at the same time being sensitive enough to paw on your door when you’re crying or lay in the crook of your body when you’re sick. They take time and space for themselves and soak in pools of sunlight, two of my favorite things in life.”

Thanya Iyer – ‘I am here now’

Montreal artist Thanya Iyer has unveiled ‘I am here now’, the opening track of her forthcoming album TIDE/TIED, which is both entrancing and grounding. “‘I am here now’ is a meditation on presence – on coming back into connection with ourselves and the world around us when everything is on fire,” Iyer explained. “It’s a mantra on staying open and engaged, moving through discomfort, slowing down, loving our bodies, and finding joy. For me, this song is deeply tied to my experience with chronic pain and the forces in the world that attempt to sever our connection to our bodies — How do we come back into conversation with our bodies and the stories they carry? Through it all, we find new ways to listen, to love, to awaken.”

Lil Nas X – ‘Swish’

Lil Nas X has dropped a new single for the third day in a row: the swaggering ‘Swish’ follows ‘Dreamboy’ and ‘Big Dummy!’. They’re all presumably from a new album called Dreamboy.

Mclusky – ‘people person’

Mclusky have shared a new song from their reunion LP the world is still here and so are we, the frenetic ‘people person’. “‘people person’ is the song that gave me tinnitus, so asking me about it is really cruel,” Andrew Falkous remarked. “It’s probably about being overwhelmed by the world because that’s what all of our songs are about.”

Étienne de Crécy – ‘Rising Soul’ [feat. Damon Albarn]

Damon Albarn joins Étienne de Crécy on the new single ‘Rising Soul’, which is stirring and understated. It will appear on the veteran French DJ-producer’s new record Warm Up, which arrives this Friday. Dancer Marie Louise Hertog stars in the accompanying video, directed by Étienne and Marie de Crécy.

Haim released their most recent studio LP, Women in Music Pt. III, in 2020. Since then, they’ve put out one-off singles including ‘Cherry Flavored Stomach Ache’ and ‘Lost Track’.

Lucy Dacus Releases New Song ‘Talk’

Lucy Dacus has released ‘Talk’, a dynamic and confrontational new single from her forthcoming album Forever Is a Feeling. It follows the previously unveiled ‘Ankles’, ‘Limerence’, and ‘Best Guess’. “Why can’t we talk anymore?/ We used to talk for hours/ Do I make you nervous or bored?” she sings damningly. Check it out below.

Forever Is a Feeling comes out March 28 via Geffen Records.

Julia Sanders Announces New Album ‘Dark Matter’, Enlists Esther Rose for New Song

Julia Sanders has announced a new album, Dark Matter. The Asheville-based artist will release her third album on May 16, and the profoundly candid title track, out today, features Esther Rose. Check it out below.

Dark Matter was produced by John James Tourville (The Deslondes). “The album takes on really difficult questions,” Sanders explained in a press release. “But the point isn’t to answer them. It’s to surrender. To the unknown. To the invisible magic that—hey, turns out—makes up most of our world.”

Sanders met Esther Rose while they were both living in New Orleans. “This song became a way to write about the unknowns we live with every day and the ways in which we try so hard to create meaning,” Sanders said. “It begins with a line about the seemingly endless instinct to wonder why, but the older I get, the more I resonate with the later verse: ‘The only thing to master/ Live in question need no answer.'”

“One of my favorite things in this world is singing with Esther,” she added. “I love the way she builds harmony and the unique way our voices click together. Her bright notes in the chorus mixed with that little riff from Steve’s guitar makes me think of a shooting star, or a lightspeed jump in space.”
