7 Halloween Costumes That Are Worth a Thought

The month of October is right around the corner and comes one of our favorite holidays: Halloween. It’s the day of the year when people can dress up as anything they want without repercussions. Do you know what that means? Time to get creative!

And if you’re smart about it, you can make your costume something that scares people and makes them laugh at once. If you are looking for inspiration on how to accomplish this feat, then look no further than these seven Halloween costumes that are worth a thought:

An Inflatable T-Rex Costume

If you’re looking for inflatable costumes for Halloween, this Inflatable T-Rex Costume is a great option. The fan runs off batteries, so you don’t have to worry about plugging it in. It’s lightweight and comfortable, making it easy on your child or adult wearer. The best part? It’s simple enough that even if they get tired of wearing their costume for trick-or-treating, they can easily take it off and play with it as a toy.

Bubblegum Machine Costume

If you are looking for a costume that is easy to wear, the bubblegum machine costume is the one for you. The inflatable suit comes in one size that fits most and features a battery-operated fan to stay comfortable. The polyester material makes it machine washable and easy to clean.

Inflatable Bunny Costume

If you are looking for adorable inflatable costumes for Halloween and less on the “scary” side, look no further than this inflatable bunny costume. The bunny is an animal that personifies spring and fertility (and, in some cultures, Easter), making it a great choice to express your love of warm weather while being cute and cuddly.

This adorable outfit features a full-body jumpsuit with attached hands and feet—the perfect piece for those who want to create movements inside their costumes without worrying about how they’ll move in them. The stretchy material will allow you a full range of motion to jump around like crazy all night long.

Inflatable Hot Dog

As far as novelty costumes go, this one is a surefire winner. The Inflatable Hot Dog costume is perfect for both kids and adults alike. The costume comes with a hat, pants, and jacket, all made from vinyl, so it’s easy to inflate and deflate. You can find this Halloween costume at most stores that sell Halloween merchandise.

Inflatable Dinosaur Costume

An inflatable dinosaur costume is a fun, low-maintenance option for people who don’t have enough time or skill to make their own. This costume can be purchased online or made at home with the help of a sharpie and some balloons. Simply put on your favorite tee shirt and pants, then outline a dinosaur’s head on your shirt. Then take some balloons, blow them up, and stick them to the spots where you’ve drawn the eyes and mouth. You’ll be ready to go in no time!

Banana Split Unicorn costume

This costume is a whimsical, fun way to celebrate your love of all things banana split. It’s an inflatable costume with a banana split flavor, so you can become a giant banana split while wearing it. The unicorn horn is just a bonus. It’ll be hard for anyone to resist the temptation of dipping their fingers into this sweet treat.

Unicorn Rider costume

This is a great costume for children; if you have one, you should consider it. It’s easy to put on and take off, so your kid can get dressed alone without your help.

It’s also a good choice if you spend Halloween in the car; it isn’t bulky or heavy like many other costumes, so your child will be comfortable wearing it as long as necessary. If that weren’t enough reason to go ahead with this costume idea, consider how easy packing will be when traveling: just roll up the unicorn headband and slide it into your purse.

Conclusion

There is nothing wrong with having fun and being silly. So, if you want to go out dressed like a giant banana, do it. The best part about these costumes is that they’re so unique that no one else will be wearing the same thing. And if they are? Well, then, now you have something to talk about.

Brockhampton Release ‘The Family’, New Album ‘TM’ Arriving Tonight

As promised, Brockhampton have released what is billed as their final album, The Family, today (November 17). The group has now announced another surprise album, TM, which is set to come out tonight “as a parting gift” to fans, according to a press release. It features songs that took shape during a two-week stint in Ojai, California in 2021, but were never fully finished; Matt Champion executive produced the album to its completion. Stream The Family and check out TM‘s cover artwork and tracklist below.

Kevin Abstract reflected on the group’s journey in a goodbye note, which reads:

The year is 2009. I’m at my mom’s crib in Corpus on her big ass desktop computer. Gas station food. Hot ass afternoons. Washing cars for money. As most of us did, I shut down once I hit middle school. I was afraid to be vulnerable with my mom. I remember not feeling good enough for my dad. I remember pretending to be somebody new depending on who I was around. I used to wanna be an actor. My 14-year-old self was in pain. I was lost. Trapped. Broke. And so I dreamt. For reasons similar, but unique, everyone in this group dreamt too.

That post on the forum was an olive branch. Everyone took a risk. We found each other and planted our own trees. I had a vision when I posted, but the way it would end up not only changing my life but having an impact on the culture we grew up on? Thank you. I think about all of the good that came from my pain. That pain, those dreams – that was the coal in the furnace of my creativity – and still, as we got big and cool shit started happening, those embers never left. The pain has found a way to adapt for the new life. Maybe that shit’s just the human condition or whatever. This project is the culmination of all that. And all that smoke from that furnace was making us all cough, for all our sakes it was time to air it out, to move into the future. Fresh air.

I understand that some of the fans are upset that no one is on the album but me. Over the past few years, the members of the band began to move our separate ways, and focus on our individual careers and passions. With this project, a few of us were inspired to make something new that would bring closure to the past, and set the table for all of us to finally be able to explore our individual futures. I hope you understand and enjoy the music.

I feel like whoever is reading this – whoever has been with BROCKHAMPTON since the beginning deserves some sort of closure. The album is an attempt at that. Thanks for giving us a chance. For holding me up. Holding me down. For being everything I needed when I was just some nigga from Texas. I still am. Yeah, this show is over, but the furnace is still glowing.

What a blessing this has been.

with all the love, ian

Siv Jakobsen Enlists Ane Brun for New Single ‘Sun, Moon, Stars’

0

Norwegian singer-songwriter Siv Jakobsen has enlisted Ane Brun for her latest single, ‘Sun, Moon Stars’. It’s taken from her upcoming third album Gardening, which is out January 20 via The Nordic Mellow and includes the earlier singles ‘Tangerine’ and ‘Romain’s Place’. Listen to ‘Sun, Moon, Stars’ below.

“A big part of why I wanted her to sing on this song in particular is because a lot of the influence I have from Ane is in it,” Jakobsen said of the collaboration in a statement. “The style of the guitar, the strings, it just felt like it was a nice nod to how she’s inspired me, so to have her sing on it felt like a full circle moment. From the 16 year old Siv singing Ane’s “Rubber & Soul” in a high school recital, to waiting for Ane outside her gig in Boston as an aspiring songwriting student and mega fan of 22, to becoming colleagues and friends and singing together on Sun, Moon, Stars over a decade later.”

She added: “Sun, Moon, Stars was written in November, a good few years ago. I remember humming the melody and working out the lyrics whilst out walking on a particularly dreary, dark and wet evening. Inspired by my least favourite month of the year and the heaviness I tend to feel during it, as well as the beauty and hope I’ve found in a companion that has the ability to pull me out of the dreariest corner of my mind, even during the darkest month of the year.”

Liv.e Announces New Album, Shares Video for New Song ‘Wild Animal’

LA-based, Dallas-raised artist Liv.e has announced her second album, Girl in the Half Pearl, which is due out February 10 via In Real Life. Today, Liv.e has shared the new single ‘Wild Animals’, which was co-written and produced with John Carroll Kirby and Solomonphonic. Check it out below.

“I really love the process of coming up with a vision and doing my best to ensure that it will come out just as it was in my imagination,” Liv.e said of the self-directed visual for ‘Wild Animal’. “I tend to use almost all my practices as another way to strengthen my trust and belief in myself. The concept is just based on the release of letting go old ‘people pleasing’ habits that I tended to act on in the past a lot. A depiction of gaining the strength & courage to choose myself every time.”

Following her 2020 debut album Couldn’t Wait To Tell You, the new LP spans 17 tracks, including the previously shared track ‘Ghost’.

Titus Andronicus Release New Holiday Song ‘Drummer Boy’

0

Titus Andronicus have released a new holiday single, ‘Drummer Boy’, which spins Billy Joel’s ‘Piano Man’ to tell the nativity story. Listen to it below.

“I first connected the dots between the great Billy Joel song and the beloved Christmas standard several years ago, but it got tossed onto the pile with so many of my other crazy ideas,” vocalist Patrick Stickles explained in a statement. “Things being how they are, though, I may not have the luxury of time to execute all those crazy ideas, so when we had two days off in Montreal on our recent tour, we figured we’d grab the reindeer by the antlers and cross this one off the list, so as to avoid the pain of eternal regret. Also, I’ve noticed a lot of discourse recently about what constitutes a legitimate ‘parody’ lately, and I’d like to get a piece of that action.”

Titus Andronicus’ latest album, The Will to Live, arrived earlier this year via Merge.
