Interview: Arlo

With his latest single ‘Shake The Room’ released we had a pleasure of interviewing Arlo. Here is our interview with him.

Hi, how are you?

I’m very well. It’s really hot in London right now. So I’m enjoying the sun!

So, how did the song shake the Room come about?

Shake the Room was produced by my good friend Lostboy. The song means a lot to me as I wrote it when I was struggling with my own confidence. It really is an anthem for self-confidence. It’s me saying this is me and I don’t need your approval.

Do you have influences that influenced you to adapt the style you of music you make?

I love Adele. I love how honest and raw she is. It’s definitely something I try to do with my music. It’s really hard sometimes because you are admitting things that can a bit embarrassing or difficult.

What are your goals for 2017?

World Domination. Haha more music and more shows.

Describer yourself in one word.

Honest

Describe your music in one word.

Unapologetic

If you could give any advice to an aspiring musician what would it be?

Keep going. The amount of no’s I’ve had. Someone will say yes!!!!!

What is your definition of culture?

I think culture is everything that defines a generation. The music, the language, the food, the politics, the art. The things that create moments and inspire the youth
