Bill Callahan, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, and David Pajo Cover Jerry Jeff Walker’s ‘I Love You’

The latest in a series of collaborative covers from Bill Callahan and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy is a new rendition of ‘I Love You’, from the late outlaw country singer-songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker’s Ridin’ High. This one features an appearance from David Pajo of the influential post-rock outfit Slint. Check it out below.

Previously, Callahan and Will Oldham tackled Steely Dan’s ‘Deacon Blues’, Yusuf / Cat Stevens’ ‘Blackness of the Night’, Hank Williams, Jr.’s ‘O.D.’d in Denver’, Dave Rich’s ‘I’ve Made Up My Mind’, and Billie Eilish’s ‘wish you were gay’. More recently, they reworked Smog’s ‘Our Anniversary’ alongside Dead Rider. Bill Callahan released his latest LP, Gold Recordin September.
