Listen to Jonny Greenwood’s New Song ‘Licorice Pizza’

The soundtrack for Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film Licorice Pizza has been released. It includes a new instrumental track from Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, also titled ‘Licorice Pizza’, which was produced by Graeme Stewart. Licorice Pizza (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) also features songs by David Bowie, Nina Simone, Paul McCartney and Wings, and more. Listen to ‘Licorice Pizza’ and stream the full soundtrack below.

Set in the San Fernando Valley in 1973, Licorice Pizza stars Cooper Hoffman — son of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman — as a teenage aspiring actor who develops a crush on a woman in her 20s, portrayed by HAIM‘s Alana Haim in her debut acting role. It also stars Bradley Cooper, Sean Penn, Tom Waits, Benny Safdie, and Maya Rudolph.

Greenwood has composed music for several films released this year. His score for Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog arrived last week, while his soundtrack for the Princess Diana biopic Spencer came out earlier this month. Greenwood has previously collaborated with Anderson on many of his films, including 2007’s There Will Be Blood, 2012’s The Master, 2014’s Inherent Vice, and 2017’s Phantom Thread.

Licorice Pizza is out today (November 26) on limited release before going wide on December 25.
