CHAI Release New Single ‘WHOLE’

CHAI have released a new single called ‘WHOLE’, which will serve as the theme song for Japan’s public broadcaster NHK’s upcoming romantic comedy series, Koi-senu Futari. Out today via Sub Pop, the track is a collaboration with San Diego-based producer Scoobert Doobert, who worked with the band on their WINK companion EP Wink Together. Give it a listen below.

“Sometimes, no one empathizes with you. But is that really a bad thing? I don’t want to make my thing, or someone else’s thing, something to be ashamed of,” CHAI’s YUUKI said of ‘WHOLE’ in a statement. “Because our ‘differences’ may not be our enemies. I wish we could love each other’s little differences and little similarities entirely—that’s the hope behind this song.”
