Keeley Forsyth Releases New Single ‘Wash’

Keeley Forsyth has unveiled the new single ‘Wash’, which is lifted from her upcoming LP Limbs. Following previous cuts ‘I Stand Alone’ and ‘Bring Me Water’, the track was produced in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning percussionist Evelyn Glennie and arrives with a Ross Downes-directed music video. Check it out below.

“Evelyn’s work with the serpent cymbal, produced a unique, mournful, metallic sigh that colours the whole track,” Forsyth said in a statement. “With the vocal, I wanted to open my throat and swallow that emotion. The lyrics came with this process, instinctive and impulsive.”

“The video takes place in an absurdist purgatory, which exists with its own logic and where a confrontational high stakes game is playing out,” she added. “This is directly in homage to the work of Irish playwright Samuel Beckett, where the protagonist is caught in a situation not fully understood or explainable.”

Limbs, the follow-up to Forsyth’s 2020 debut album Debris, is out February 25 via The Leaf Label.
