‘Summer of Soul’ Wins Best Music Film at 2022 Grammys

    Summer of Soul, Questlove’s film about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, has won Best Music Film at the 64th annual Grammy Awards. The documentary won over Bo Burnham’s Inside, David Byrne’s American Utopia, Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, and Music, Money, Madness… Jimi Hendrix in Maui.     Last week, Summer of Soul took home the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. The film also won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award and Best Documentary at the 2022 Independent Spirit Awards.
